Sick of getting sunburnt or forgetting to reapply your SPF? Take the struggle out of sunscreen with our BEAME Under the Spotlight™ UV Detection Stickers - no more guessing if your SPF still works.
WHAT ARE UV DETECTION STICKERS FOR THE SKIN?
UV detection stickers are small, adhesive patches that you stick to the parts of your skin that are exposed to the sun. These tech-based stickers have a photosensitive layer that changes colour when it’s exposed to UV radiation (UVA/UVB), meaning they show when your sunscreen is no longer doing its thing.
The BEAME Under the Spotlight™ UV Detection stickers start out transparent when your skin’s protected and turn purple when your SPF wears off. You can then reapply a sticker along with your sunscreen so you know when your SPF works.
@beamespf Your skin is safe with us 🥰 If you didn't already know, our UV detection stickers turn purple when it's time to reapply SPF... 👀 Once it's been reapplied they turn clear, meaning your skin is protected! 😎 #BEAME #suncare #sunsafe #UV #uvsticker #uvstickers #spf #sunscreen #sunsafe #summer #sun #skincare #skincaretips ♬ In A Coffee Shop Full - GentleJammers
WHEN SHOULD YOU USE THEM?
You can use them every day, and in every situation. Whether you’re at an outdoor event like a festival, hitting the beach, spending time in the sun or working out.
They’re sweat and water-resistant (so no stress if you’re swimming, sunbathing or working out), plus they’re soft, flexible and comfy to wear. Each sticker is designed to last all day, but it’ll change colour to let you know when you need to reapply.
BEAME Under the Spotlight™ are hypoallergenic too, so the only reaction you should see is the one that shows when it’s time to reapply your SPF.
HOW TO USE YOUR UV DETECTION STICKERS
Using UV-sensing stickers couldn’t be easier. They start off transparent and darken when you spend time in sunlight - so you know that when they change colour, it’s time to reapply your SPF:
How to use your BEAME Under the Spotlight™ UV Detection Stickers in 4 easy steps:
-
Apply to clean and dry skin
-
Pop on a sticker somewhere visible (like your arm) and press down for 3 secs
-
Apply your sunscreen all over, including the sticker
-
Keep an eye on it throughout the day and reapply as needed
If the sticker’s clear, it means your skin is protected.
If it’s lilac, you’re partly protected and need to get ready to reapply soon.
If your UV detection sticker is purple, your skin is no longer protected and it’s time to reapply your SPF (as in, right now).
EXPERT TIPS FOR APPLYING YOUR UV DETECTION STICKERS
-
Place your stickers in visible areas so you can easily track their colour change
-
Make sure you reapply your SPF when you notice the sticker change colour
-
These stickers are for UV detection, not UV protection, so make sure that you use them with a SPF and reapply it regularly
-
Place your sticker nice and flat, and make sure it’s pressed into place
-
Pair your sticker with the BEAME Something Your Mist™ - SPF 30 Spray to stay protected when you’re out in the sun
